LESSON 1.1: WHY USE CAD, CAE, CAM, RE?

INTRODUCTION TO THE LESSON
This lesson explains why CAD, CAE, CAM and RE technologies are necessary for the design of an object.
For the realization of a part it is possible to choose between two manufacturing possibilities: additive manufacturing technologies also called Additive Manufacturing (AM) or subtractive production. Additive manufacturing involves the addition of layers of material to create an object, whereas subtractive production removes material from an object.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS LESSON
Thanks to this lesson, you begin to understand which technology is most suitable to use to create a 3D object with a 3D printer.
